About Theo Blake

Theo Blake, who is currently completing his fellowship in cardiovascular imaging at Stanford University, has a number of research projects under his belt. His ongoing projects include the submitted manuscript of "Preservation of left atrial function after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation: Observations from a novel CT method," under Dr. A. Islam. He also is working on case studies of mobile pelvic masses. While earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Theo Blake assisted in pediatric urology clinical research, the development of surgery curriculum material, and infectious disease laboratory research. During his undergraduate years at the same institution, Theo Blake assisted in environmental microbiology and molecular diagnostics laboratory research.

In May of 2002, Theo Blake coauthored "Caulobacter crescentus synthesizes an S-layer-editing metalloprotease possessing a domain-sharing sequence similarity with its paracrystalline S-layer protein," which appeared in The Journal of Bacteriology. In 2007, he and four of his colleagues published "Spinal Cord magnetic resonance imaging for investigation of nonneurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction - can the yield be improved?" in The Journal of Urology.

In 2011, the same year he received board certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Theo Blake completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at The University of Western Ontario. Before the program's completion, he served as the Chief Resident. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of British Columbia, earning his Doctor of Medicine from the same institution in 2006, the year he also qualified for the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada.
